Challenges for This Week

Create a shaped card something other then a square or rectangle.
I used the Indie Art cartridge to create a tape...I couldn't think of a sentiment, but my hubby did for me! This is my last Fantablous Cricut challenge as a design team member. It has been such a wonderful experience, and I feel so blessed to had been there from the beginning and see it grow! Robin and the entire crew are such a great group of ladies.

And, now for more fun!

This is my first week as a design team member over at These Are a Few of My Favorite Things!
The current challenge is -"These are a Few of My Favorite Features!"

I have a pile of pictures of the kids doing their famous picture faces! If they know I am taking a picture of them- the eyes close and the face gets all scrunchy. It totally cracks me up!

Be sure to play along, there is a prize pack from Bella Blvd! And. design team member is Diana is also doing a giveaway for this challenge on her blog.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #47

Weather Forecast:
Make a project featuring your favorite seasonal weather (i.e. sun-summer, leaves-fall, snow-winter, rain-spring).

I used Straight From the Nest to make the pink cut out in the center of the page. So, I know this layout doesn't look super fall-ish, but Audrey's favorite color is pink so I just kinda ran with the fun colors! I sometimes like to make 8 1/2 x 11 pages, it is perfect for one photo layouts.

Happy Valentines Day!!

For my project...I used the Straight from the Nest cartridge for the purple heart...I just love that cartridge! This picture is from 2 years ago around Thanksgiving, but I think hearts can be used year round:)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #45

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #45
January 31--Support The Cause:
Make a project in honor of a cause near and dear to you or a loved one's heart

I used the Sweethearts cartridge to make this puppy for a thinking of you card.
Make A Child Smile: (From their site) The purpose of MACS is to tell stories of children battling serious illnesses and then give our website visitors the opportunity to mail a cheery card/letter and/or gift to brighten their day.

What a great way to send some cheery cards to children that would love to receive them!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #43

Challenge #43
The challenge for the week over at Fantabulous Cricut is- Sweet Shop:
Incorporate something "sweet" on your project (i.e. ice cream, candy, lollipop, cake, dessert, etc.)
I decided to make a little heart lollipop for my card. Figure it would have less calories than the real thing ;) The heart is from Create a Critter. I recently ordered some Hero Arts stamps. I was in sore need of some sentiments for my cards, and they had quite a selection. Happy Monday!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #41

Challenge #41 for Fantabulous Cricut is:
Snowy Delights:
Create a project incorporating snow or snowflakes.

I have had this photo for almost a year...It really reminded me of The Christmas Story, Audrey all bundled up and hardly able to move! I used Doodlecharms for the snowflakes, and Gypsy Wanderings for the title.
This past week has really been cold out here in Phoenix, we have even had a little bit of snow, not used to that! Happy January everyone:)

For my project...I used the Cricut Lite Cartridge Jolly Holidays to make a mitten banner! I used a varitey of papers, (even some leftover Valentine paper from last year)to cut the mittens. Viola's Boutique

Over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog, we had the opportunity to play with some crocheted items from Viola's Boutique...aren't they the prettiest heart appliques?!

I used Gypsy Wanderings for the scallop background and Wild Card for the sentiment.

Winter Woodland cartridge was used for the sentiment and holly leaves.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #35

Challenge #35 Color/Shape Challenge: Use the color GREEN and a CIRCLE shape somewhere on your Cricut

I used the Winter Woodland cartridge for both the yum, and the circles. I don't use the font on that cartridge enough, it is very versatile!! And, I think the circles were a bunch of snowballs, or something like that (it was a shift function.)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #33

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #31

On the Wall:
Create something to hang on the wall, vinyl, shadow box, sign etc...
I printed and cut the princess banner from the Best Friends cartridge for the Imagine. I would have liked to printed some background paper, but instead used some polka dot paper I already had. I got the frame at Goodwill for 80 cents (love to get frames there!) Now, to add the ribbons for the bow holder- just hot glue the ribbon directly to the back of the frame. Easy peasy. Happy Monday all:)

Fatabulous Cricut Challenge #29

I could not wait to scrap these pictures! The title is from Once Upon a Princess and the heart, star, and circles are from Gypsy Wanderings. I had first cut the top layer of drama queen in an orange but it really didn't pop. So, I took the dark purple from her sunglasses and used that- instant pop! I am surprised I even had a sheet of purple cardstock, not a color that I use to often...purple is growing on me :)

September 27th –National Sewing Month:
Create a project using some type of stitching -hand, machine, faux stitching

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #25

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #23: The Great Outdoors

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #22 This is National “Smile” week and the challenge is to:
Create a project and include the word “Smile”

I used Gypsy Wanderings for the sentiment and the scalloped ovals. I am really starting to enjoy making cards with a cute saying already done up! You never know when you will need an extra card to give to someone ;)
