My Review

Fun game for little boys

By Val from Phoenix, AZ on 12/31/2009

5out of 5

Pros: Educational, Cute, Good for young children

My 3 and a half year old loved this game. He enjoyed adding the people to the bus and taking them off, (I like that he was learning how to add and subtract!) The graphics were really adorable, bright and colorful. Would make a great gift.

January Sussies Sneaks

The January Scrapbook Sussies kit was fabulous, I even made a few altered items that I have really been wanting to do. It was so nice to have boy and girl themes to play with. I never have a lack of pictures for inspiration in that department!

Cheery Cards

Head over to the Scrapbook Sussies blog for some great holiday inspiration from all the designers. A couple days ago I posted a little "how to" on making a card book for all those Christmas cards you get this time of year. Below are some cards made with the December Sussies kit.

Sunshine

It was cloudy all day, which is so uncommon for us. I needed some sunshine.

Yay!

Trying to explain my excitement to my hubby about scrapbooking, blogs, and so on isn't quite working... So for people that understand that world:)
I got the Two Peas weekly email and my whisk project was featured on it!! Guess it had made the top 10 by views, super fun.
I used tags from Elle's Studio, they have details of which exact tags on their blog.

I don't think I have ever made a post without a photo, so here is one of my new favorites. Nana always keeps us well stocked in the shoe department.

Put on Your Game Face

I will be reviewing a super cute game from this online toys site very soon. Toys And Games ONLINE.com have a TON of fabulous toys, games, and stuffed animals. We have been really getting into things that we can do at the dining room table in the evening as a family. Speaking of games...
The weekend after Thanksgiving we went to Dallas to visit with friends, family, and to see the new Cowboys Stadium! A billion plus dollars makes for one awesome game day experience. Sadly, our Bears lost- but we had such a great time at the game. My mom surprised us by coming into town, so we didn't have to take the little one to the game. We still put her in a little cheerleader outfit. Of course!

Some Christmas Crafts

I will be making more of these for teacher gifts! I ended up wrapping tulle around the whisk, since those pesky kisses were wanting to fall out.

I am a sub for bunco, and got notice that I would be joining for the Christmas themed night. I rushed over to Hobby Lobby to pick up an ornament for the exchange after bunco- and they were cleared out of ornaments! Slim pickings. Since we use a crown for bunco, I just jazzed up a mini crown with ribbon and added the tag.
We finally got all of our indoor decorations completed. Hopefully we will get some outdoor lights out before Christmas comes.

December Scrapbook Sussies

Oh my, this was one of my favorite Sussies kits, just love it! Sadly, it looks like it has sold out, but there are always plenty of other cute items in stock. I also did up quite a few cards, but I will save that for another day. Happy December!

Us

I love pictures that include us, "the parents" with the kiddos. For the upcoming year, I am really going to try to make that a focus for the pictures that I take. We went to a Thanksgiving potluck at D's preschool and caught this moment between the 2 of them. They are so handsome!I am finally getting around to scrapping some of the Halloween photos. Sometimes it is fun to use nontraditional colors for various holidays.

I really want to do some type of photo a day for December. I haven't quite figured out how I want to go about this, but hopefully I can keep it going till the new year.

December Scrapbook Sussies Sneaks

I will have to say that I am not the biggest Holiday scrapper, but the December Scrapbook Sussies kit has changed my attitude about that! It is full of whimsy and cuteness. While I am not a big card maker, I even made a few out of this kit. With all the embellishments, they were so easy to do! So here are some sneaks, I cannot wait till December:)

Halloween Costumes

I have been sorting through last month's photos, and have allot of favorites. Our local playgroup had a party at the park the day before, so Audrey was able to wear her Strawberry Shortcake outfit. (Snow White costume was being repaired by Grandma for Saturday.) I think my sister or mom found the adult Snow White outfit last year after Halloween. I am sure it was a super deal. So, I felt the need to be Snow White for an evening. So worth it.

Dante was loving his pumpkin costume, and Grandma whipped up one a couple days before for herself to match. They were so cute together.

November M2R Kit

Here are some lovelies from the November Moments To Remember kit. These papers really were so pretty, and worked well with some new fall photos that I had.

Catch up... and Scrapbook Sussies Nov. kit

November has crept up on me in a big way. We have had family in town over the weekend (so much fun) and I have been caught up with a new toy- DJ Hero. But, that is for another post! Here are my creations from the Scrapbook Sussies November kit.

Aah, Fall.

Tastes like pumpkin.

Our new floor is finally complete (mostly.) After everything was moved around while getting the floors installed, I realized it is time for some major fall cleaning and cleaning out. The entry room of our house was starting to look like Toys R Us. So, the majority of toys have been put in the kiddos room, and will hopefully stay there!

I somehow have gotten lots of scrapping done the past few evenings, so tomorrow I will be photographing upcoming November layouts. Peeks coming soon...

Mint to be

Even though we have slight disaster in the house, (due to replacing much of the floors)- I have squeezed in a tiny bit of scrapbooking. A few weeks ago I bought a Gypsy, and have been loving it. It is really nice to be able to take it out to the backyard, or where ever and pull layouts together. I never had a jukebox, so it is a real treat to be able to cut from multiple cartridges at a time.

The Latest

I have been taking an online photography course, and we are to the point of shooting in manual. It has been one of my goals for the year to shoot in M exclusively, so these past few weeks have been awesome in learning the process.

Swinging at the park.

Running in the sand.

I loved scrapbooking about one of my favorite things we watched this summer- roller derby! (I really want to see the new movie that is out about this topic, Whip It)

October Scrapbook Sussies

Seriously, 2 of my favorite things were involved in this month's Scrapbook Sussies kit. Halloween and camping!! Halloween is my hands down favorite decorating, dress up, candy eating holiday.
And, I couldn't pass up incorporating some trailer, camper, family fun sort of pictures with the Bella Blvd papers.
