New Year, New Beginnings

I wanted to pop in for some  Happy New Year cards! This past year, I choose the word Focus, and honestly since March of 2012 the focus has been on feeling better. So, I don't even know what to pick as a word this year! I'll have to think on that one for a couple of days. I have one last segment of my December Daily to print photos for and it will be complete. It is completely different from 2011, but change can be good! I'll be back soon with a boatload of December Daily photos.

Cleaning House

Here are quite a few cards that are all the way back from this summer. Figured I better post them now, or they would never see the light of day. I have been working on my December daily, and some Christmas tags. Oh, and  I cannot wait to discuss the Silhouette- it is so fun!!

Cardabilities Sketch #64

Sketch #64 is up at cardabilities! Mustaches are very popular, so I wanted to put at Santa one on this card. The cut is from the Mustaches & Glasses Cricut cartridge. The Santa wording is from the Teresa Collins - December 25th Cartridge.

Bit the Bullet...

I need more scrapbooking items like I need a whole in my head.... But, this I couldn't pass up! I have been looking at the Cameo forever, but had a hard time justifying it with having all my Cricut goodies. But, the flexibility of the Cameo has been calling my name:) So, at Overstock as of today, 11/29/12, they have the  Silhouette Cameo Mega Bundle for $229. Then I found a coupon code here that got me another $20 off, plus free shipping! For $200, I was ready to take the plunge, as soon as I give back my leftover Vegas money to the hubby;)

Thankful

Although this is one of the toughest years I have had in a long time, it has made me more grateful for all that I do have. But, let me tell you- I am sure ready for the new year!  We took a train ride up to the North Pole and then headed to Las Vegas over the Thanksgiving weekend.

I was really impressed with the whole North Pole experience with the Grand Canyon Railway. The hotel was wonderful with delicous food. It was really an impressive system they have for such a large number of people going on the train!

I'm not gonna lie, it was sure nice not to have to worry about putting together a Thanksgiving dinner! Everyone got to pick what they wanted, so I chose pizza for the meal:) Now it's time to deck the halls...

Cardabilities Sketch #63

A new sketch is up at cardabilities! This is such a versatile sketch. I chose to do a winter card, bright and cheery. I have been playing with the Cricut Craft Room on my computer, and purchased the Teresa Collins December 25th cartridge. Oh, how I love it! I plan on making some Christmas tags with it soon.

Happy Card and Wacky Times

A just because card, I really love the peacock feathers paper! I spent a whole day cleaning out and organizing my craft space. Gotta get my zen area back.

I somehow managed to injure myself while getting an MRI. I was getting an iv put in, and it was not feeling right. I go to the bathroom, and next thing, I passed out because I was face down on the tile! It could of been a lot worse, a broken nose or other broken body parts. So, for now I am sporting a real mean black eye, and have been wearing my sunglasses just about everywhere! These past eight months have rolled this way, and here's to hoping next year is a little less eventful!

October Updates

Because two Snow Whites are better than one! This is Audrey's third year as Snow, so we may be retiring it for a new costume next year.

We went camping this past weekend in Prescott at Lynx Lake. Anything under 80 degrees is cold for me! I brought lots of layers to stay cozy.

I have been much improved over these past few weeks...The doctor has pretty much determined my latest issues is called reactive arthritis. All of my body pain issues can go back to that. Thankfully it is not a permanent thing, and allot of the time it can sort of  "take care of itself."

I did make quite a few Halloween cards, but didn't even photo them! At this rate I will be lucky if they make it to family before Wednesday, but that's ok:) It's the thought that counts.

Cardabilities Sketch # 61

Here is my take on sketch 61 over at cardabilities! SKdigis is the sponsor this month, and I used one of the monsters for my card. He is so cute:)

I have been pretty sparse around blog land. Last month I had a bout with pneumonia, along with some other medical issues. Tomorrow is a follow up appointment with a rheumatologist, I am really hoping he has some more insight to what has been going on. I have had lots of family help, and even had my mom out here for a while. I am feeling so much better, even from a few weeks ago. I am so ready to dust of the craft room and start playing!

School Themed Cards

The finale of school cards! I think we have enough to cover the teachers for this school year. I just started a mini album, it is going to be quite an undertaking (in a fun way!)

School is in Session

Two more back to school cards. I have started pulling groups of patterned paper and embellishments together, like summer and back to school. It is making for easy night time scrapping. Half my time is spent on figuring out what I want to work with!

Monday Happy News

I wanted to share some good news! I'll be on the upcoming cardabilities Design Team! It has been a while since I've been on a DT, but I felt this would be a perfect fit, and am really excited about it!
A post feels kinda lonely without a picture, so here is a tag I submitted from one of their past sketches.

The Summer Wind Down

I got in the Olympic spirit with this card! It has been so exciting watching the games.

A suitcase, dug out some washi tape for this one.

This summer I have pretty much been living off of watermelon and blueberries. I have been on this super restrictive diet, where anything highly acidic is out. That leaves about four fruits  I can chow down on! The title is very fitting for this card:)

School started for us this past Wednesday, which has really put the week of kilter, but hey Friday is right around the corner!

A+ Card

Two Peas has a Saturday Card Sketch Challenge with Kimber, and I submitted this one for last week's challenge. School starts here this coming Wednesday, so I thought the topic was fitting:)

Birthday Cards

So they don't look like birthday cards, but I really wanted to personalize them for a couple of gal pals that had some birthdays this past month. When I use patterned paper for my base(which I have been loving lately), I will adhere a solid piece of paper in the inside so my writing shows up. Have a wonderful weekend!

Summer Stripey Cards

Rounding out the end of my summer cards. I am hoping if I start to make some fall themed cards, it will force the weather to cool down :)

I have a little  4 year old scrapping buddy now! She loves to make thank you cards...They are all over the house, it is fun finding them hidden.
