April Scrapbook Sussies Sneaks

Yep, I skipped doing dishes Saturday night to scrap, so worth it! This kit and add on are gorgeous.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 003

The challenge is to Bling it On! Create a project using some shine, jewels, glitter etc...
All shapes came from the Life is a Beach cartridge. I had been saving out the mermaid in my Gypsy to use for quite a while, and this challenge was the perfect fit. I first cut all pieces. Then for the tail, used a spray adhesive to make tacky, and added green glitter. I also sprayed with hairspray to help with the hold. The star in her hair also has glitter, just the chunky kind.

Good Day Sunshine

It has already been warm enough to fill up the turtle pool. I love little girl swim suits:) We have had a few rounds of company come and go, so now we are getting back into our regular routine. Been making lots of lists on the calender, "trying" to keep up. Have lots of cute projects in the works...

Will be getting some scrapping in this week working on this yummy Scrapbook Sussies kit. I cannot wait!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 2

Here is my project for the current challenge at the Fantabulous Cricket Challenge Blog. This weeks the challenge is to: Create an Easter themed project using a Pastel color palette. Make sure to head over there for some fabulous inspiration!
I used the Easter 2010 cartridge for the rick rack, chick, and eggs. The font is Don Juan.

He wanted a picnic birthday. So that is what we did. It was a perfect day for it.


He started the day with a surprise bus ride to work with daddy. Then we picked them up from work for a mid morning celebration.

Doesn't get better than this.

The first challenge is to use the word birthday and have a balloon. The tag, circle, balloon, scallop, and flourish are all from the Celebrations cartridge. The flourish and scallop are actually from a party hat's (third hat on the overlay) shift button. I love playing with the cartridges and seeing all the really cute shapes that are on the shift key. You never know what you will find;) The Happy Birthday wording is on the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge that was loaded on the Gypsy. We have lots of birthdays this week... My son and sister in law are today, and my dad and grandma share a birthday the next day. Here we come cake!

She Loves Books

Things had gotten really quiet in my bedroom, and that usually means that she has gotten into beauty supplies... But there she was, sitting on my bed reading her books! I happened to have my camera sitting in the next room. Sometimes a picture says it all!

Ladybug Sweets and Treats Part 2

Here are some details of the birthday banner... Used some leftover Valentine's paper and just layered lots of girly details. Flowers, hearts, ladybugs- all sweetness!

Ladybug Sweets and Treats Part 1

Our niece had her first birthday over the weekend, so I did up a cake for her. I had never thought of doing a ladybug themed party, but now have some ladybug love!
The large cake was made out of two Pyrex bowels. My friend (who is the ultimate cake master!) had done many lady bug cakes and was a huge help- especially for moral support when it came to the decorating. The little cupcakes pots are actually silicone and easily go in the oven. They came from Cost Plus World Market. The cupcake toppers were all made using my Cricut. I had been waiting so long to make those pinwheels!

Bath Time= Fun Time

We love bubbles!
Little Missy just has not been herself today. Fell asleep with a cheese stick at her high chair. All took (and are still taking ) a really good nap today.
Working on our niece's birthday cake, and some extra surprises for the weekend- and loving it!

March Scrapbook Sussies

I really enjoyed working with March's Scrapbook Sussies kit. Many of these photos I had been saving to scrap for quite a while, and the papers and embellies really pulled it all together!
