The Big 3

I am not the biggest fan of the whole star piping a cake. Fondant, gum paste, no prob. just anything but star piping!I get very impatient with it and things tend to get messy. And I have issues with red icing. I cannot tell you how many pink football, apple, and you name it cake items have turned out pink instead of the appropriate red. But, the boy wanted a red car cake so that it what we did! And I survived it.

Pure Bliss

A few weeks back I won some goodies from this fabulous store/studio- Blissful Living Studio. Words cannot express how creative and adorable this shop is! I got this great frame, some fabric, glitter, metallic thread, and then had to pick up a few extra items for myself. I am working on a quilt for our little trailer. The goal is to have it done by summer. I plan on making a pillow out of my "winning" fabric to go along with it. All the fabric has been cut and I am now in process of pinning everything together to be sewn. The top is 100% cotton and the bottom is various types of fleece to keep us nice and snuggly. The fabric is from Mendocino Underwater Sisters line, and is ultra cute.

I am so excited to share that I am now a design team member over at Scrapbook Sussies! What an honor it is to be with such a fun, talented group of gals. Check out their monthly kits and the gallery for some great ideas. I had such a fabulous time working with the March kit and add on.

Getting it Done

I have a hankering to get organized. Big time. There's a sewing machine and die cutter sitting in the loft. Along with fabric, craft books and plenty of other crafting tid bits. The rest is in a shared office. Trying to figure out how to consolidate it all into one place. So, for now here are some layouts of the boy.

Road Trip

We decided to hit the road this weekend.
Got a little dirty.
Enjoyed the view.
We were happy campers.
