Summer Time at the Beach: Create a project for summer using something you would find at the beach.
I have been wanting to try some stenciling for quite a while, so this was my try at it ;) I was looking for a tea towel in yellow, and couldn't find one. So, this is actually a cloth napkin! I used life is a Beach cartridge for the anchor.I cut it out with card stock and then sprayed the back lightly with some adhesive. I then painted with black fabric paint. The ruffle is a strip of polka dot fabric that I pushed through the sewing machine while stitching to give a ruffled effect. This will go in our tiki trailer, I really needed some hand towels in there.
What a great idea!! I would never have thought to do anything like this. It turned out wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable. Cute project. I need to try to mix sewing with a Cricut project. You've given me inspiration :)
