Build Your Own Cupcake Bar

This was a test run of a cupcake bar... Wasn't quite sure how it would go over, (or how messy it would be), but it was quite the hit. I had my 9 year old niece helping the little ones decorate the cupcakes. She was my cupcake manager :)

You could easily use regular cans of frosting, I did make mine- I will dig out my recipe for you all. It is tried and true, and I use it for all cakes and cupcakes. I had some large craft sticks to help apply the frosting to their cupcakes.

I just love the test tube sprinkles.

Oh yeah, and balloons make it better!

Elle's Studio October Projects

I wanted to share my projects for Elle's Studio this month!! Yes, Dante is going to be an UPS guy...he really wanted to be a trash can, but decided against it after he saw the trash cans at Home Depot, it was a sight!

Also, Elle's Studio is having their Design Team Search!! I have to say that it has been such an honor to be on the design team, and a wonderful experience. So, go apply!! Here are the details.

Halloween Theme:

Create a project using any Halloween idea.
I used Paper Doll Dress Up to create the bats, and strung them with thread. The pom poms are so easy to make, I followed these Martha Stewart instructions.

Walk this Way

Yesterday I posted a fun little project on the Scrapbook Sussies blog...Scrapping multiple photos in a simple way. I have to say the picture of the two of them walking home is one of my favorites!

We had some crazy hail and rain last week. It did make for some fun photo opportunities. I also dressed the kids up yesterday in their costumes to get some photographs We are quite the sight in the front yard...Think the neighbors are used to it by now!

On the Wall:

Create something to hang on the wall, vinyl, shadow box, sign etc...

I printed and cut the princess banner from the Best Friends cartridge for the Imagine. I would have liked to printed some background paper, but instead used some polka dot paper I already had. I got the frame at Goodwill for 80 cents (love to get frames there!) Now, to add the ribbons for the bow holder- just hot glue the ribbon directly to the back of the frame. Easy peasy. Happy Monday all:)

Card Swap Samples

Oh, my goodness- I haven't participated in a card swap before, and this one was an awesome one to be a part of!! FLOWERDISCO'S Scrap Hut coordinated a card swap that was wonderful. I have shown a sampling of cards that I received...It was amazing to see the love and creativity put into each one. Here is a post showing everyone's cards. October Scrapbook Sussies Kit

The Scrapbook Sussies October kit rocks!! And can you tell, I was in a two picture layout mood this month ;) It got me wishing for fall, even though it has been really hot around here... Cooler weather is coming soon, yay!

I was thinking of giving it as a teacher gift, but I may have to keep it for myself :)
